In the depths of the blue sea, lived a little baby dolphin named Deniz. His eyes were bright blue, as if taken from the sea itself. Deniz was still very small and was afraid of big waves.
Every morning, his mother would take him to the calm waters near the shore. But Deniz loved to hide among the seaweed there, rather than swim. When a wave got a little stronger, he would immediately run to his mother.
One day, a little starfish — named Pirpiz — swam over to Deniz.
— Hello, Deniz! Let's swim together! — said Pirpiz joyfully.
— No... I can't. The waves scare me — said Deniz, lowering his head.
Pirpiz smiled and sat next to Deniz.
— It's not bad to be scared, Deniz. I was scared too when I first swam. But you're not alone, I'm with you.
Deniz thought for a moment. Looking into Pirpiz's kind eyes, his heart felt lighter. Together, slowly, they began to swim towards the calmest water.
— First, gently wiggle your tail, as if waving your hand in the water — said Pirpiz. Deniz did as he was told, and a small wave lifted him up. He even forgot he was scared, because it was so much fun!
Every day, Deniz swam a little further. Pirpiz was always by his side, smiling at him, cheering him on. A week later, Deniz could already swim over big waves by himself.
All his sea friends — the fish, the turtles, even the old crab — rejoiced at Deniz's success.
— You are very brave, Deniz! — said the turtle.
Deniz smiled:
— I couldn't have done it alone. A good friend makes everything easier.
From that day on, Deniz was no longer afraid of the waves. Because he knew that with a friend by his side, anything is possible.
