On the edge of a green forest, there was a beautiful house. Under the roof of this house lived two pigeon brothers. They were very happy with their beautiful and warm nest. There was plenty of food around too. So, these pigeons had no reason to complain.

One day, one of the pigeons wanted to travel the world and try his luck:

— I'm tired of this place. Every day it's the same nest, the same forest, everything is the same, even the food we eat. Enough is enough, I'm leaving.

— Don't go, my brother. They say the world is very big. Our peers say there are many enemies in the world. Don't go, don't put yourself in danger.

But the pigeon didn't listen to his older brother and didn't change his mind. So, his brother said:

— At least don't go now, do you see the clouds coming over the forest? There will be a strong storm today. You can set off tomorrow.

— No, I've already made up my mind, — the little pigeon set off.

Indeed, a little later, the wind grew stronger and turned into a storm. The storm was so powerful that the pigeon couldn't fly and took shelter in the branches of a tree. The downpour that came with the storm completely soaked the bird.

The pigeon shivered from the cold there until morning. After the sun rose, he came out into the sun to dry his feathers. While flying, he saw a large wheat field on the ground. In the middle of the field, grain had been scattered for hungry pigeons. He even saw a pigeon pecking at wheat in the field.

When he descended, he realized that what he thought was a pigeon from above was actually a wooden decoy pigeon. But it was too late. His feet got caught in the net spread on the ground.

He struggled to free himself. He flapped for hours, covered in blood and sweat. Finally, he managed to get out of the net, luckily the net was a little torn where he landed.

Rejoicing at his escape, as he flew, he saw a kite swooping down on him. He tried to fly away, flapping in fear, but couldn't. When he felt the kite's talons between his wings, he thought his end had come.

Just then, an eagle flapped its wings and attacked the kite. As the two wild birds fought each other, the pigeon managed to escape.

He landed on the roof of a house, wanting to catch his breath. He didn't see a child approaching him in the garden with a slingshot in hand. When the stone from the slingshot hit his chest, he lost his balance for a moment. Still, he gathered himself and somehow managed to take shelter under the roof.

With great difficulty, he reached his nest. After so many adventures and dangers, he was very happy to return to his comfortable home. And he never left his home again.
